Wolt speeds up roll out of monthly subscription service Wolt+ following a faster than expected growth in Luxembourg
Wolt, a global player in the delivery services industry, is introducing Wolt+ in Luxembourg just weeks after the company launched in the Grand Duchy. This subscription service—often described as "the Netflix of home delivery"—makes premium delivery services more affordable.
For a flat fee of less than the cost of three standard deliveries per month, Wolt+ members will enjoy unlimited free delivery from their favorite restaurants, cafes, and stores across Luxembourg. The service also grants subscribers access to special discounts and exclusive deals, enhancing the overall customer experience.
Typically, Wolt introduces the Wolt+ options after several months in a new market, however, the success of the service in Luxembourg has been such that the company decided to speed up the rollout of the new feature. “Since the launch, we’ve observed good growth from March to May, and thousands of people have already downloaded the app. It’s an amazing achievement given the size of the city,” said Ludvig Helmertz, interim general manager of Wolt Luxemburg.
“Wolt has always been at the forefront of providing exceptional delivery services, and with the introduction of Wolt+ in Luxembourg, we are taking this to the next level. Our goal is to make life easier for our customers, and Wolt+ is a significant leap towards achieving that. Whether it’s your daily coffee, a weekly grocery run, or a dinner treat, Wolt+ ensures it arrives at your doorstep without a delivery fee,” Helmertz said.
The Wolt+ subscription is cost-effective and designed with the consumer lifestyle in mind, offering more choices and flexibility. Subscribers can easily manage their memberships through the Wolt app, which also provides real-time updates and exclusive offers tailored to their preferences and order history.
The launch of Wolt+ is expected to enhance customers' interactions with local businesses, foster stronger community connections, and support the local economy.
“We believe Wolt+ will be a game-changer in how people think about delivery services. It’s about providing value beyond savings, enriching our customers' daily lives,” said Helmertz.
Wolt+ is already available for Luxembourg app users and in the first weekend roughly one in five orders were from Wolt+ customers.
