The popular delivery service Wolt is opening its third city in the Grand Duchy - Mersch - just four months after it launched in Luxembourg.
From today, the people of the northern city and the surrounding towns can use the Wolt app or website to get food from a dozen restaurants delivered to their homes or offices within 30 minutes.
At the same time, Wolt has expanded its delivery area in the communes around Luxembourg City and now delivers to Mamer, Capellen, Sandweiler and Niederanven.
“We’re delighted with the pace of our growth in Luxembourg. Since we launched in the capital in February, we now cover most of the country's area in terms of population. We expanded to the south a month ago, and now we’re adding Mersch and additional towns around Luxembourg City. It’s great to see how popular our service is,” said Ludvig Helmertz, interim managing director of Wolt Luxembourg.
“After our recent expansion to Esch-sur-Alzette and the warm welcome of the people there, becoming a sponsor of the local Jeunesse Esch was a quick decision. The football club holds the most league wins in Luxembourg’s history, and their track record of excellence ties well with our business approach: to always go the extra mile and be the preferred delivery app in any market we operate,” said Ludvig Helmertz.
