Since the launch in Luxembourg in late February, Wolt has delivered 70,000 burgers from different restaurants to meat lovers in the Grand Duchy. “The addition of McDonald's to the platform will surely make the numbers soar,” said Ludvig Helmertz.

“Partnering with Wolt enables us to reach more customers and provide the convenience of delivery for those who love our food,” said Guy Moore, CEO of McDonald's Luxembourg franchise. “We are dedicated to enhancing our customers' experience, and this partnership with Wolt is a perfect way to do precisely that.”

PayPal for convenience, without surcharge

At the same time, Wolt is adding PayPal as another payment option in the app and website, making it easy for users to choose their preferred payment option whether they are at home or on the go. With millions of users, PayPal, a global digital payments leader, offers a secure and straightforward way to pay online.

“Integrating PayPal is a significant step in enhancing our service offering,” said Helmertz. “We are committed to providing our customers with the best possible experience, and the addition of PayPal as a payment method is a testament to that. Unlike some merchants, we are not adding a surcharge to orders paid with PayPal”.

Wolt users can also use credit cards, Google Pay and Apple Pay, as well as Pluxee and Edenred lunch voucher cards.
