Just one month after launching as Wolt in Romania, the technology company known for its local commerce platform is thrilled to share some highlights and learnings from what’s been an incredibly exciting and fast-paced start. With a gradual rollout across the country, Wolt has seen massive and even unexpected interest from customers, courier partners, and restaurant and retail partners alike.
Since day one, the response from Romanians has been overwhelming in the best possible way. Wolt is now present in 34 cities nationwide, with an expansion that’s more than doubled the previous delivery radius of Tazz.

- Most active courier partner: Delivered an impressive 54 orders in a single day.
The demand for Wolt in Romania exceeded even the most optimistic expectations, particularly in the first two weeks after launch. While this overwhelming interest was an encouraging sign, it also brought some initial challenges, including service delays in areas where the surge was strongest. We’re sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused and thank everyone for their patience and feedback.
Wolt has been listening to customer feedback and trying our best to respond quickly to improve the customer experience, implementing a set of focused operational actions, which includes deploying extra support people to ensure smoother operations, increasing the number of courier partners to better match demand, and reducing shift availability. Additionally, Wolt has improved the courier task flow by updating app features, and sending reminders to confirm pickup and dropoff.
These fast adjustments have already led to a strong improvement in key performance indicators, boosting both customer satisfaction and delivery reliability.
