We know certifications aren’t as photogenic as a perfectly stacked burger or a sushi set. But for the people who trust Wolt with their data every day, two new stamps of approval matter a lot.
That’s why we’re happy to share that Wolt has successfully renewed its ISO/IEC 27001 certification and achieved ISO/IEC 27701 certification for privacy information management.
- ISO 27001 is the global standard for managing information security. It’s how we prove that we protect our systems and data in a structured, audited way.
- ISO 27701 builds on that by focusing on privacy. It’s how we collect, process, store and share personal data responsibly.
These certifications cover our Product+ organisation from product and platform development to engineering and supporting teams like Security, IT, People, Legal and Risk - across our key tech hubs in Helsinki (HQ), Stockholm, Tallinn, Berlin, Copenhagen, Tel Aviv, Timişoara and Tokyo. They reflect how we design, build and run Wolt every day, not just what’s written in a policy.
And this isn’t a one-time gold star. To keep these certificates, we go through regular independent audits that test whether our practices actually match what we say on paper. No shortcuts, no “trust us, it’s fine” - we have to show evidence.
- We work to keep Wolt secure to use and available whenever you need it.
- We treat your personal data with care, in line with global privacy expectations and laws like the GDPR.
- We see security and privacy as enablers for the business, not a bottleneck – we want to grow fast and securely.

We’re proud of this milestone, but we’re even more excited about what comes next. The threats around us evolve constantly, and so do our products. That’s why we treat these certifications not as a finish line, but as a baseline for how we build “Wolt-grade” experiences.
