Introducing Wolt Community Standards: Making every interaction better

Our mission is to bring joy, simplicity and earnings to the neighbourhoods of the world. Every order - whether it’s placed, prepared, or delivered - is part of a shared experience. Customers, merchants, courier partners, and Wolt teams are all part of the same community. And like any good community, how we treat each other matters.

That’s why we’re publishing our Community Standards - a clear and public set of principles that guide how we show up on Wolt. These standards reflect the values that have shaped Wolt from the beginning and we still hold true today. They work alongside our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and other agreements, and they apply to everyone who uses the platform.

Four principles that guide us

Our Community Standards are built on four core principles: respect, safety, care, and trust.

Respect

Wolt should feel welcoming, inclusive, and professional for everyone. This means communicating calmly, even when something goes wrong. It means respecting differences in background, identity, and beliefs. Harassment, discrimination, or hateful language don’t belong on our platform.

Safety

Safety is a shared responsibility. Whether you’re on the road, in a store, or receiving an order, we expect everyone to follow applicable laws and act responsibly. Threats, violence, or unsafe behaviour have no place in the Wolt community.

Care

Every order represents someone’s time, needs, and trust. Food is handled hygienically and in line with regulations. Shared spaces: buildings, vehicles, and public areas are treated thoughtfully. Tampering with orders or damaging property isn’t acceptable.

Trust

Wolt works best when people act honestly and in good faith. That includes using your own account properly - be it merchant, customer or courier - providing accurate information, completing orders as intended, and respecting personal data. Misuse of the platform, including fraud or inappropriate use of contact details is in violation of our terms & conditions, and may lead to account restrictions.

Fairness matters

Wolt is a shared space. When these standards aren’t met, we may take steps to protect the community, including temporarily or permanently removing access to the platform.

At the same time, we are committed to acting fairly and proportionately. If someone believes a decision affecting their account was made in error, they can contact Support through the app. We are here to listen.

We also encourage speaking up. If you experience or witness behaviour that goes against these standards, you can contact Wolt Support or use our Speak Up channel. Reports can be made anonymously, and there are no negative consequences for raising concerns in good faith.

As Wolt continues to grow, being clear about how we treat one another becomes even more important. These Community Standards simply put into words what we’ve always believed: local commerce works best when it’s built on respect, care and trust.
