At Wolt, the mission has always been clear: bring joy to everyday moments, open up new opportunities to earn and help shape cities into better places to live. But behind the blue logo and smooth app, it’s really about the people who make it all possible.
In Malta, Wolt’s success is powered by a team as diverse as the community it serves. Each member brings their individual backstory, personality, quirks, challenges and dreams – but together they share one vision: to keep raising the bar for how people shop and redefining local commerce What makes the team successful is their ability to channel that diversity and draw upon its best elements to find the best way forward.
Terence, who has been Wolt’s Sales Support Manager for a little over a year credits the team’s success on its ability to see the bigger picture.
“We’re all in the same ship”, Terence said. “And we realise that each part of navigating this ship is vital to the overall success of the company. We know which destination we’re sailing towards and we all chip in to make sure we get there together,” he concluded.
Dinah and Chris, who have both been with Wolt Malta for 5+ years and weathered the COVID-19 storm – nod in agreement. “It’s all about working together and reaching our goals”, Dinah adds. “I never say, ‘That’s not my job’. Instead, I love jumping in and helping out wherever I can, even if it’s outside my usual role”.
Chris reinforces the point with a great anecdote. “I remember during the peak of the pandemic in 2021, restaurants were hit with an unexpected second round of lockdowns on in-house dining”, he recounts. “Dinah and I were flooded with hundreds of phone calls from restaurants wanting to get onto the platform and be online within the day. Luckily for us, we’re blessed with a high-performing team and worked tirelessly to manage in time.”]
stening to Terence, Dinah and Chris speak, it’s clear that the job can get pretty intense sometimes. Thankfully, there are plenty of lighthearted and fun moments to counter the demanding nature of the job.But it’s not only about hard work – it’s about joy too. Dinah recalls a funny incident that remains a team favourite to this day. “One of the funniest moments I experienced at Wolt was during a local festival. I was given the chance to dress up as Yuho, the Wolt mascot. The kids absolutely loved it, I was getting tons of hugs and kisses!”But kids being kids, their enthusiasm got a little bit out of hand and Dinah/Yuho soon ended up being pulled in all directions by children clamoring for attention. “I was bouncing around, trying to keep my balance”, Dinah chuckles. “Thankfully, one of my colleagues spotted what was happening and came to my rescue. It turned into a hilarious scene!”
So what’s next for Wolt Malta?Terence doesn’t hesitate. “We intend to keep improving consistently. Sometimes we forget how difficult it was to get a home delivery before Wolt entered the scene in Malta. We’ll keep striving to innovate in this space!” he said.“Exciting times ahead!” Dinah enthuses. “Wolt is a tech company, so our product team is always rolling out new features. This means we’re always on the lookout for people who share our values and have the ambition and energy to thrive in our fast-paced environment,” she concluded.Wolt Malta’s story is more than deliveries, it’s the story of people who believe in making everyday life simpler, brighter and more connected.
