Helsinki, March 7 | A leading global food tech company Deliverect and technology company Wolt announced today an expanded global partnership, setting out to improve online order management and delivery operations for restaurants and retailers that have their own online stores.
The joint offering is built on Deliverect’s Dispatch service, which enables business owners to engage directly with their customers via their own websites and applications, and Wolt Drive, which is Wolt’s delivery-as-a-service offering for merchants.
Merchants get access to a real-time order tracking system and a wider network of delivery partners that help them better match the demand during peak hours. The joint offering also comes with automated order-handling that makes sure each online order is connected with the best delivery option without the staff having to worry about it, saving their valuable time.
“We are truly thrilled to expand our partnership with Wolt. We see the F&B sector booming and with the rise of online ordering and the possibility of adding new delivery operations to the industry, Wolt and Deliverect will scale the business by connecting the restaurant's order process with the best delivery option,” affirms Carsten Caroe, Deliverect General Manager for the Nordics markets. “At Deliverect, our aim is to empower restaurants to easily manage their digital orders so they can provide their customers with great food and a flawless customer experience. Equally important to us is helping them eliminate manual entry, order errors, and service delays so restaurants can focus on what they do best: serving great food. Our partnership with Wolt will surely help us achieve this for all customers.”
“We’re excited about the expanded partnership with Deliverect. By working together, we’re able to help more local businesses across countries grow and better serve their customers, which makes us extremely proud,” says Lauri Mikkola, Head of Strategy & Business Operations, Wolt Drive. “Quick deliveries have become an expectation over the past few years as people do more and more online shopping also locally. We hope that we can help even more local businesses to seize the momentum with last-mile delivery by giving them easy access to world-class tools.”
