Wolt expands partnership with Europe’s largest pharmacy operator – becomes first platform to offer fast over-the-counter delivery in the Baltics
> The expanded partnership brings over-the-counter medicine delivery to over 30 Benu stores in Lithuania and new pharmacy venues in Croatia.
> “The pharmacy category is among the top requests from our customers, and it shows how Wolt is becoming the go-to shopping destination also outside of food. Ultimately, our goal is to become a shopping mall in people’s pockets, and we’ll keep working hard to make great options available in every city we operate in,” said Cengiz Rahmioglu, Global Head of Retail at Wolt.
JULY 2, HELSINKI I Technology company Wolt has expanded its partnership with the PHOENIX Group, rolling out over-the-counter (OTC) medicine delivery in Lithuania and launching new pharmacies in Croatia.
Croatia is the fifth market for the Wolt–Phoenix collaboration following successful launches in Serbia, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. The first venues are now live in Rijeka, Zagreb, Split and Samobor, with more due to follow.
Meanwhile, Lithuania became the first Baltic state where customers can order over-the-counter medicine through platforms with fast last-mile delivery in April. The option is now available from more than 30 BENU venues across five major cities. BENU is a part of the PHOENIX Group.
“We’re delighted to expand our partnership with the PHOENIX Group and enable even greater convenience in Lithuania and Croatia. The pharmacy category is among the top requests from our customers, and it shows how Wolt is becoming the go-to shopping destination also outside of food. Ultimately, our goal is to become a shopping mall in people’s pockets, and we’ll keep working hard to make great options available in every city we operate in,” said Cengiz Rahmioglu, Global Head of Retail at Wolt.
“We have been excited about this partnership from the very beginning. For some time now, Wolt has been delivering cosmetics, dietary supplements, and medical supplies from BENU pharmacies directly to residents' homes in major Lithuanian cities. From now on, we are becoming even more accessible to our customers: most of the medicinal products available at BENU pharmacies can now be ordered through the app,” said Dr. Indrė Brazauskaitė, Head of the BENU pharmacy chain.
Today, Wolt works with thousands of pharmacy venues across its markets through the Wolt platform and its delivery-as-a-service Wolt Drive.
