> Wolt’s evolution from food delivery app to local commerce platform continues with growing selection of everyday items available to customers on-demand
> “Our vision is simple: to make everything that customers need day-to-day available locally, instantly and reliably,” says Cengiz Rahmioglu, Wolt’s Global Head of Non-Food Retail
NOVEMBER 24, HELSINKI | Wolt is accelerating its non-food growth across Europe with a wave of launches in electronics, pet supply and health & beauty this festive season.
The expansion strengthens Wolt’s position as a one-stop local commerce platform, helping both national chains and small, independent businesses reach customers faster and more efficiently.
Altogether, more than 3,000 new non-food retail venues have joined Wolt’s platform in the second half of the year so far. Non-restaurant orders now make up about 20% of Wolt’s business, with more than 5.5 million unique non-food products available on the marketplace in over 700 cities.
“Our vision is simple: to make everything that customers need day-to-day available locally, instantly and reliably. This isn’t just about adding more categories, it’s about driving forward Wolt’s transformation into the digital shopping mall of the future that brings the best of your neighborhood to you,” says Cengiz Rahmioglu, Wolt’s Global Head of Non-Food Retail.
“With these new launches, from electronics and beauty products to pet supplies and children’s toys, we’re showing how local commerce can truly scale, bringing more convenience and choice to customers while strengthening our partnerships with trusted local retailers across Europe.”
Drugstores and beauty remain a key focus for Wolt, with major launches including Bipa in Austria, Lili Drogerie in Greece, and Vita going live across seven Norwegian cities with almost 6,000 products available to customers on the app.
“We’re seeing a clear trend where customers expect seamless shopping experiences both in-store and online,” says Are Berg, CEO of Vita. “Through our partnership with Wolt, we can offer fast delivery of products from our stores straight to customers’ homes, thereby strengthening our position as the most accessible player in our segment.”
Wolt’s electronics category has entered a new phase of scale, driven by collaborations with leading retail players, including Tehnomanija in Serbia which launched over 80 venues across 4 brands.
In Finland, Telia has scaled nationally to more than 40 Marketplace venues, while Verkokauppa launched a Marketplace pilot in Turku. Power and Gigantti have also integrated Wolt Drive into their websites. In addition, Baku Electronics in Azerbaijan and Neptun in Albania, leading electronics retailers in their respective countries, have also joined Marketplace.
Meanwhile, Wolt supported iPhone 17 launch activations in September, enabling pre-orders across multiple markets, and underlining the platform’s growing role as a local partner for major product launches. Pilots for large-item deliveries, such as televisions and other bulky products, are also continuing in several countries, including Greece and Georgia, with extended delivery areas.
Toys, kids and baby are also expanding as categories, with Marwin/Meloman scaling across Kazakhstan, Jumbo going live in Albania and Kosovo, and The Entertainer launching in Azerbaijan and Albania.
Alongside this, Wolt’s pet supply offering continues to grow rapidly, with the company recently delivering its five millionth order containing pet items.
Dogman & Friends has now scaled nationally across the Nordic countries with more than 40 new venues, while Kika is live with more than 40 stores in the Baltics. Pet Network International has launched in Bulgaria - its third Wolt country after Croatia and Serbia - and local favorite 4 Putrat is now live in Albania and Kosovo.
Many of these new partners will take part in Wolt’s Black Friday campaign, bringing strong offers and exclusive deals to customers across Europe.
